Galen Ireland has been involved in the arts since she was a young child. Leaving her hometown of Huntsville Ontario to go to Earl Haigh School for the Arts at age 15 was just the beginning. She went on in her training at Randolph School For The Performing Arts which is a professional training centre in Dance, Music, and Drama. Galen is a true Triple Threat! If you add her experience in film, television, and modelling, she goes well beyond Triple Threat.
After the birth of her amazing son, Galen began to focus on dance, running studios in Toronto and Barrie, and eventually opening her own studio in Thornbury Ontario. That studio is now in its 10th season, and is highly successful in both Competitions and in Examinations.
Galen is certified with the CDTA for Jazz, Acro, and Tap, and Associate Diploma with the Cecchetti Society of Canada. She just recently became the Provincial Representative for the Ontario Branch for the CSC, as if she does not have enough to do!!
We hope you will join us at either our Thornbury location or our brand new location in Collingwood which opened in June 2018.
Rick Sousa is the co-owner of GISOD, and will be joining forces with Galen to take the studio to another level – in both the Thornbury and Collingwood locations. He has spent the past 20 years working in the Medical Diagnostic Industry and brings a strong background in technical and customer service skills.
At this stage in life he has decided to make a change and help people in a different way. Rick has been working out since the age of 16 and moved to the area in 2007 for the active lifestyle that Collingwood offers. An avid mountain biker, cyclist and skier, Rick has strong knowledge of Functional Training. It is this functional training that he would like to encourage at GISOD, both with himself and his growing number of staff.
Rick believes that exercise is fundamental to living a well balanced life. He is confident that an inner athlete lives in all of us regardless of your age and ability level, and hopes to help our clients unlock their potential!

She believes that a successful fitness routine should centre around something you love. If you cannot have fun while working out, how do you expect to keep it up? She is certified to teach Adult Zumba, Zumba Kids, Zumba Kids Jr and Zumbini. Her philosophy? – Leave your worries behind and join me on the dance floor! Remember to dance like nobody is watching, and most importantly, have fun!
